Commerce platform

When your B2B commerce environment blocks growth.

We do not simply replace your platform. First, we determine what can remain, what can move in phases and where a controlled go-live is needed. With experience in commercetools, Medusa, BigCommerce and SCAYLE, among others, we build a route that protects your operation.

rb2 always starts with the operational constraint. If one workflow is the problem, an AI agent is the smarter route. If the foundation is the constraint, we design and deliver phased replatforming.

When replatforming pays off

Does this sound familiar?

Replatforming is not a goal in itself. It makes sense when your current foundation demonstrably blocks growth, continuity or proven improvements.

  • Every change takes weeks and depends on an external party.
  • Your platform can no longer handle growth or peak demand.
  • New channels, countries or B2B portals no longer fit.
  • Maintenance and licence costs rise while features deteriorate.
  • You are locked into one supplier and no longer feel able to change.
Our approach

A migration plan that protects continuity.

Phased migration

For each country, channel, customer group or domain, we determine what can be migrated separately. Where central processes such as orders, pricing, stock or ERP integrations converge, we plan a controlled go-live with clear acceptance criteria.

Continuity and rollback

For every go-live, we define acceptance criteria, monitoring and a fallback scenario. This keeps an error manageable instead of business-critical.

SEO and data migration

URLs, redirects, canonicals, hreflang, product data, customer data and historical orders receive a controlled migration and validation plan.

ERP, PIM and WMS

For each system, we determine what remains, what gets connected and what must change. Integrations are tested with real traffic and real exceptions before the transition.

Governance and project team

Business, IT, partners and the rb2 team work with clear decision rights, ownership, risks and one shared roadmap.

Management after go-live

After stabilisation, monitoring, incident handling, optimisation and continued development remain part of the plan, not a separate aftercare list.

Frequently asked questions

Replatforming without surprises.

When does replatforming become necessary?

When the existing commerce platform demonstrably blocks growth, continuity, integrations or proven process improvements. We do not replace for the sake of replacement: first, we determine what can remain and where the foundation genuinely falls short.

Does replatforming always require one major go-live?

Not always. Some parts can be migrated in phases, for example by country, channel, customer group or domain. But central elements such as orders, stock, pricing or ERP integrations sometimes require one controlled go-live. We therefore determine in advance what can move in phases, where a go-live is needed and which rollback scenario applies.

Can ERP, PIM and WMS remain in place?

Often, yes. For each system, we determine what remains, what needs better integration and what demonstrably needs to change. Integrations are tested with real data and exceptions before go-live.

How do you preserve SEO and data during the migration?

We create a controlled plan for URLs, redirects, canonicals, hreflang, product data, customer data and historical orders. Before and after every phase, we validate coverage, quality and discoverability.

What happens after go-live?

After stabilisation, monitoring, incident handling, optimisation and continued development remain part of management. Go-live is a controlled handover point, not the end of the engagement.
