Nuon Exclusief is a successful loyalty program that had already 400,000 members within one year. The idea is simple; the longer you are a customer, the more points you receive monthly. With these points you get a discount on trips, you can participate in giveaways and you can choose from a whole lot of energy-saving products and sustainable gifts for yourself or someone else.

Our challenge

Linking the Nuon customer environment to Nuon Exclusief as simple as possible; that was our challenge. To exchange customer data, a single sign-on has been used from My Nuon, so a customer only needs to log in once to gain access to multiple Nuon applications. A link to the Nuon CRM system has also been created and the customer service department has access to a dashboard so that there is insight into transactions, users and orders at all times.

The result

The platform has existed since 2014 and is a great success: hundreds of thousands of customers take part in Nuon Exclusief and almost all participants have placed an order or participated in a competition. Together, all participants saved over 322 million points and 22 million transactions were made. The platform's appreciation is high and in particular the energy-saving product range is very popular.

Our approach

Nuon Exclusief was created in collaboration with marketing communication agency Doornvogel, where rb2 ensured the complete technical implementation. The loyalty program runs through the Loyalty Tools e-commerce platform. Points are paid according to a fixed process: customers sign up, the system calculates how long someone is a customer and on this basis the system assigns a fixed number of points per month to the customer.

Activities
